Daniel André BrunDaniel André Brun was born in Bordeaux in 1925. Since 1948, he started to study the Judo which he practised until 1980, côtoyant within the French Federation of the high level Masters, in particular Master KAWASHI and Master AWAZU.
He was graded 5th dan and occupied the functions of European referee.

In parallel, he began the study of the Aïkido on arrival in France of Master TADASHI ABE, one of the pupils direct of the Aïkido Founder , and formed part of the very first French black belts of Aïkido (the first dan having been decreed him in 1954 in Aikikai of Tokyo).

Today 8th dan of Aïkido,with more than fifty years of martial arts behind him, he forms part of rare French Masters having also pushed far the study from this way.
He is currently devoted to transmit its knowledge of the Aïkido within the Federation of Traditional Aïkido.
